Unique in its breadth, Sport and Exercise Sciences ranges across maximising individual and team performance to enhancing physical and mental well-being nationally. Led by our Sports Sciences team you’ll join a course that brings together biomechanics, physiology, psychology and professional placements to help you uncover and sample pathways to a career in sport. On this BASES (British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences) endorsed course, you’ll start your journey to becoming an accredited Sport Scientist. You’ll undertake an extensive range of health and performance-based measurements, from body composition to exercise cognition to motion kinematics. From there you’ll develop dietary strategies, interrogate the sources and prevention of injuries, discover the connections between physical activity and the mitigation of chronic disease, and reveal how humans react in extreme environments.
