Overview

Our journeys are increasingly digital — you’re doing it right now! Innovation is about being the pioneers in society. It’s more than just knowing what buttons to push, it’s asking some hard questions and solving some really complex problems. Our course focuses on global communication, pulling the levers behind the curtain to put your brand out in front. It goes way beyond social media, it’s about understanding the digital journey all of us take. You will have the opportunity to develop the technical skills and consumer insight to devise captivating digital strategies, develop a deep understanding of the digital environment, and solve pressing problems. The course is underpinned by a deep understanding of professional practice and academic concepts. You’ll learn about digital innovation in social media marketing to taking advantage of big data and everything in between. This degree offers you the tools and experience in, and out, of the classroom to develop your passions for tech and move into a professional role. You will draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive professional credentials and research experience and be inspired by industry guest speakers, including those who graduated from the university. Many modules have assignments based on live briefs from national and international brands including BT, Just Eat, Enterprise car rental, and more. Outside of the classroom, get involved in the student-led Marketing Society and our Business School initiative called 360, giving you opportunities to deliver creative marketing solutions. The course benefits from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditation, recognised by major employers, allowing you to earn a CIM Graduate Certificate or Diploma alongside your degree.
