Our Fine Art BA (Hons) course scored 92% for academic support in the National Student Survey 2023. Working in our dedicated studios and 3D workshops, you’ll develop a broad range of technical and practical artistic skills. These include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, digital technologies, photography, video, performance, text and sound. In our creative community, you’ll explore the practical and conceptual possibilities of a range of different forms and media. We do this together through four distinct ways of making and thinking: Drawing, Proactivity, Studio and Curiosity. Through these, the course develops entrepreneurial and inventive creative practitioners. Our community focuses on collaboration and fun, and we have placement opportunities in therapeutic practices, education, artists’ studios, theatre, galleries, and museums. You’ll get the chance to showcase your work in exhibitions and visit galleries through our international trips. In your first year you’ll enjoy a residential, working and living together with professional artists on an annual landscape residency.
