Science
Science students have excellent options after 12th. They can go for a 3-year Bachelor of Science program or for 2-year diploma in science/Applied Science program. Diploma students can also extend their studies thereafter and make it equitant to BSc by completing a 1-year Graduate Diploma in Science. After graduation, students have the option to post graduation which includes a 1-year diploma in Science followed by 2-year Master of Science or PhD programs.
Business and Commerce
Those students who have commerce background or want to take their careers to management & business can opt for Bachelor of Business or Commerce. They can choose a variety of subjects as their majors. In addition, after completing their bachelors degree they can take admission in postgraduate diploma which takes one year to complete.
Design and Animation
New Zealand has many options for students who want to work as an animator, visual effects artist, game artist, compositors, or mobile app designer. They can do bachelors in Design Innovation or in Media and Creative Technologies. They can even do Diploma in Digital Creativity or Diploma in Applied Animation which takes 1 and 2 years respectively. After that, students have the option to do a postgraduate diploma in Design followed by Masters of design or PhD.
Moreover, Bachelors in design also opens other professions such as Fashion designer, Industrial designer, Costume designer, and Textile designer. Students can do a Diploma in Interior Design or graduate diploma Fashion both take 1 year to complete.

Students can also opt for a 1-year short certificate course in Food or Beverage, Diploma in Cookery or 2-year Diploma in Hospitality Management. Thereafter they can do a Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management followed by a Master of Gastronomy.
Engineering
Students seeking a career in engineering as a civil, chemical, computer systems, an electrical or mechanical professional can take admission in a 3-year program in Bachelor of Engineering Technology or 4-year program in Bachelor of Engineering. They have two more option one is a 2-year diploma and other is 1-year National certificate. After completing four years they can go for a master’s degree.
Agriculture
