In Singapore, a student visa is known as a Student Pass. This pass is necessary for full-time courses and approved by the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA).

The ICA approves the Student Pass for international students in Singapore. Apply for your Student Pass at least one month before starting your studies.

Singapore Study Visa Process

Apply for a Student Pass after being accepted for a full-time study program. Submit your application on the official registration system at least one month before starting studies.

Work While You Study

Every international student aspires to work part-time when they go to study abroad. A part-time job is necessary to earn enough to cut daily expenses.

Part-Time Work Rules

Work up to 16 hours/week during term time

Work full-time during vacations

Must be studying at an institution approved by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM)

Work Pass Exempt Activities

Certain short-term activities don't require work visa

Activities include seminars, journalism, etc.

You must notify the MOM (Ministry of Manpower) that you are planning to work in a work pass exempt activity.
